What's up with this crapola on late buying?

According the 'Stock Trading for Dummies' once an offer of sale is accepted from the buyer - the new owner of that share is the purchaser.

The 3 days bit only applies to how long it takes for the paperwork to settle. The sale is final - assuming sufficient funds in the purchasers account from that point.
