It's no secret why this cult (Scientology) set up shop in a town like Richmond, VA...Richmond has at least 5 major colleges and scores of community colleges in that area. This cult sets up shop where there is a high concentration of their target "customer": young adults who can be somewhat insecure living at school away from home/family - Ya gotta be where the "customer" is!

Richmond, VA is deep in the heart of Baptist country and this cult knows they won't win many of them over - it's the young, impressionable, and sometimes insecure person they're after.
