I was told that when it happens the major banks will exchange as long as you have or open an account with them.

The banks that are rumored to exchange when it happens are:

Chase
Bank of America
Citi
Wells Fargo
TD Bank
Fifth Third Bank
Regions
Compass

You can actualy go to Citi bank at this time and open an account with Citi here in the US and from that account fund an Iraqi bank account.

Citi bank is in partnership with Warka Bank in Iraq.

Also JP Morgan Chace is the founding core bank of the Trade Bank of Iraq.
