I agree - Gold does seem to have potential here. I keep waiting for GG to break down as spot gold declines, but it is not happening, with GG creeping up each day as gold comes down. Money Flow shows it under accumulation and I keep seeing small blocks (10,000) come in on the buy side when it should be going down. To a lesser extent, the rest of the sector is doing much the same thing, and past experience leads me to think that gold is about to turn back up since the stocks usually lead the metal.

The Fed is currently trying the impossible, in my opinion, in backing the recent rally as a way to encourage consumer confidence (that is my assumption, anyway) and their only hope here is to try to inflate the economy - I expect to see them do that very soon. That would be good for gold and bad for the dollar, but I think the Fed has no choice.

Like you said, it would not surprise me to see them do coupon passes soon.
