Thanks so much for the great responses! The time and effort you spend teaching is greatly appreciated.

I chose to focus on the "falling knives" aspect of your trades because throughout my first bear market experience I've tried catching many myself... bull market experience too..actually...with less than 50% success. I learn best from the trades that are least successful. My intentions are definitely not to chastise. Your rational for buying these makes more sense to me now. While it is something I would not choose to do.. I can see how... if your macro market call..a rally starting in early July...and a micro..knife catching..call for individual stocks...could work. Otherwise, they end up dead money..or losers.
