12/03 Our Optimism Index is retreating slowly. The bond
index staged a sharp recovery of its recent losses.
The dollar index gave back all of yesterday's gain, and
more, hitting another new low, so XGLD rallied to a new
high. Interestingly, though, HUI resisted the urge to
fly. XOI had a minor (for it) gain.

12/02 Hmmm. Overall volume was up today but everything
wasn't sweetness and light. Our anxiety indicators
(TRIN/TRINQ/VXN/VXO) all edged a trifle higher and
McClellen stalled again. The dollar index had a
pretty good day. XGLD fell below $450 and XOI took
a header.

12/01 I think today qualifies as a major bull move, but
tomorrow's a whole 'nother question. Our Confidence
Index is back in ALERT territory and the COMPOSITE
rocketed upward, influenced by today's high volume.
The bond index fell through its November low. The
dollar index fell again. XGLD reached a new high
but XOI fell $14.

11/30 End-of-month volume was pretty good. McClellan has
flattened out. The dollar index gave back yesterday's
small gain and so did XGLD. XOI was up a little.

11/29 Our Confidence Index got a bit rambunctious today
and set off an ALERT. The bond index fell quite a bit.
The dollar index stabilized, at least momentarily.
XGLD was strong anyway but XOI slipped a trifle.

11/26 The dollar accelerated its rate of decline, so,
naturally, XGLD had a good day and XOI did, too.
