QL Resources of Malaysia (involved in a "palm pelletisation project" where empty fruit bunches, the waste from palm oil production, will be dried and pelletized commercially in large scale for power utilities biomass programs and marketed as QL AgriPellet.)
(Note that any reference to FASC's KDS Micronex biomass processing system is in the Japanese version of the website, as JP Steel Plantech Co.'s license does not extend outside Japan.)
Other notable partners include:
Minnesota Valley Alfalfa Producers who have received $1 million from Xcel Energy (XEL - NYSE) and $400,000 from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture NextGen board to test the KDS Micronex for its ability to grind/dry biomass in a pelletization process.
Sodif S.A. de C.V. who recently received 2,615,331 pesos ($199,791) in funding from the Mexican government and more recently announced it will launch the first ecological tortilla in the first half of 2010, with the process saving 6,000L of water per ton of flour produced (60,000 liters a day)
The iBox at the FASC board has more information on these projects and other developments.
