Makes you wonder whether the great truancies done by these banks represent unofficial ways for some governments to "control" world markets, currencies and politics. The scale of these massive asset manipulation could not be undetected without a deliberate blind eye.

Over the recent years, there seem to have been geographic groups of countries uniting around some significant resources (gold, oil, nuclear materials, water), as if a new currency of powerful commodities is getting consolidated among new colluding countries (of late, the carribean countries are creating some alliance with Cuba and other anti-US South American countries) and the once world order is forced to reorganize from the old rich/poor construct to a have/have-nots around rarifying natural resources.

This would make for a great international intrigue movie.
