I agree on the settlement cash stuff. However, mutual funds and institutions usually have pretty strict limits on how they can deploy cash, and I would be quite surprised if they are using a lot of the anticipated dividend money prior to its arrival. Hedge funds are another matter, and they could have been gaming the dividend since Monday.

As for the individual investor, I would think most are not so sophisticated that they'd deploy that money prior to it registering it in their account. Many will plow it right back into MSFT through automatic transactions.

I think the keys in the market right now are DELL and MSFT since INTC and CSCO are really faltering in their leadership roles. DELL has a target of $43, so if that's hit, it might be a sign that we're about to correct.
