Another mystery is Frankie's gang hooking up with the Samarium Group Holding out of Vancouver. What was up with that?

That doesn't seem to have been "Frankie's group". It was the "original" Kinti Mining people from Toronto who announced the supposed Samarium deal.

So far, I haven't been able to figure out how Frankie and Byrd hooked up with the Toronto boys. Or how Frankie became the "majority shareholder".
