I would say short term buy and hold until profits are presented or I am completely wrong and in that case simply get out. In my opinion, this is the best strategy to employ under current market conditions.

I just checked my 401 K, which is 80 % bonds and cash with remaining 20 % in stocks, with mutual fund gorilla Fidelity. Guess what ! For the Q just passed, I am down 1.9 % on my 401 K. So even a balanced approach to investing for now is not working. I hope this one works out using the traditional buy and hold approach, the mantra of mutual funds.
