for soem odd reason i only get one post a day. i sent many letters to congressment and senators asking them to look into this case and get some real answers. Hopefully the more answers the better. I finally got a non generic response.

I encourage all of you to take some time and write people. The more exposure the better.
I am hoping justice will prevail in this case but that will take some work on everyones behalf to gain more exposure to what happened.

Thank you for contacting me. I appreciate hearing from you.

I regret to learn of the difficulty you have experienced as a result of the acquisition of Washington Mutual, Inc by JP Morgan Chase Bank. This acquisition excluded any claims by equity, subordinated, and senior unsecured debt holders. While I certainly understand your frustration with the failure of this financial institution, this matter falls under the jurisdiction of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), which facilitated the transaction along with the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS).

Accordingly, I have contacted the FDIC on your behalf and asked that they review your letter. I have requested that they respond to you in writing and copy me on the reply.

As Nevada's senior senator and the Senate Majority Leader, I am committed to doing all I can to strengthen our nation's economy and protecting the interests of hardworking Nevadans. I hope the information I have provided is helpful and I appreciate you sharing you concerns with me. As my colleagues and I work to stabilize our nation's financial system, I assure you that I will keep your thoughts in mind. I look forward to hearing from you in the future.

My best wishes to you.

Sincerely,
HARRY REID
United States Senator
