 SUMMARY OF IMPRESSIONS FROM "LOOKING BACK" (above)

 11/29 Our Confidence Index got a bit rambunctious today 
    and set off an ALERT.  The bond index fell quite a bit. 
    The dollar index stabilized, at least momentarily. 
    XGLD was strong anyway but XOI slipped a trifle.

 11/26 The dollar accelerated its rate of decline, so, 
    naturally, XGLD had a good day and XOI did, too.

 11/24 The dollar index resumed its plunge into the 
    netherworld.  XGLD edged up a little and XOI 
    continued its moonshot. 
  . 
 11/23 McClellan, after a very brief hesitation resumed 
    its uptrend.  The dollar index keeps trudging southward. 
    XGLD gave up a trifle and XOI was up again. 
  . 
 11/22 It was a better day than I anticipated but our 
    Optimism Index oozed a little lower on the bullish 
    scale and I think we're still consolidating.  The 
    dollar index dribbled lower, XGLD liked that and 
    XOI was positively ecstatic, closing at a new high.

 11/19 Our Confidence Index is retreating and our COMPOSITE 
    took a hard hit but they don't seem particularly severe 
    since the consolidation was expected and options 
    expiration after a strong run made this a tough day. 
    Today's hit was severe enough that even Ol' McClellan 
    stumbled.  The dollar index gave back yesterday's gain. 
    XGLD closed at a multi-year high.  XOI didn't make it 
    to a new high ... but it tried.
