Beacon Solutions Hires Michael Grendi as Chief Financial Officer
-- Former Travelex and Yum! Brands Veteran to Strengthen Finance Team as Beacon Continues its International Expansion --
Beacon Enterprise Solutions Group, Inc. (OTCBB:BEAC) (www.askbeacon.com), an emerging global leader in the design, implementation and management of high performance Information Technology Systems ("ITS") infrastructure solutions, today announces the hiring of Michael Grendi as Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Grendi, age 43, brings over 20 years of experience with publicly traded companies in the fields of finance and accounting, in addition to cross-border M&A transactions in the technology/telecommunications sectors. His prior roles have included: Head of Domestic Corporate Finance for Yum! Brands, which operates and licenses such well known chains as Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC; Head of North American M&A and Private Placement Group at ABN AMRO; and Vice President of the Corporate Finance Group at Societe Generale, one of Europe's largest financial services companies.
Most recently, Mr. Grendi was Chief Financial Officer of the Americas Division for Travelex, the UK based global technology company specializing in foreign exchange. During his tenure he successfully built standalone finance functions as the company migrated from shared services to a divisional structure, in addition to leading its M&A due diligence and integration team for a strategic joint venture.

Michael Grendi has extensive experience as a senior finance executive tasked with building, developing and leading finance teams to deliver profitable growth in various service sectors. Over his career Mr. Grendi has managed finance teams that have typically ranged from 10 to 20 professionals. Work assignments have included M&A, general accounting, treasury cash management, and debt and equity financings. Mr. Grendi began his career with Big Four experience at Deloitte where he became a CPA and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.
