QCOM made even a bigger invetment in Pantech if I am not mistaken. I am sure they also expected better things from Pantech in the future. If I am not mistaken I think Pantech has turned it around and is profitable, which should make both ACOM and IDCC making a good investment. One thing that might be a plus on this is if negotiating a license arrangement with the likes of say a Google who will not manufacture they could incorporate a manufacturing agreement to use Pantech. I don't know if its possible but lets say they could save money by using Pantech and the quality is probably going to be to their specifications then it should work for both or rather all 3 parties.
