The conference is 4 or 5 days long, I forget which. If you're going to be there anyway, might as well make the most of the opportunity eh? I don't know how many people he can spare to go with him, but possibly someone might be able to man the stand whilst Ken himself is in meetings. That's certainly how I've always done it.

Additionally in my experience of trade conferences in the high tech industry, a reasonable percentage of the pre-arranged meetings occur in the evenings after the conference has closed for that day. Don't know if it's the same for mining.
