You might want to try an "old timey" folk medicine that has worked wonders for me: oil of oregano. Turns out that (if you read the fine print) the "oregano" available in grocery stores is either marjoram or Mexican sage. To get the real thing, go to the vitamin/food supplement section of the nearest Walmart (less than 10 bucks) or health food store. If you swallow the capsules, it only benefits stomach/gut/colon. Instead, prick the capsule and squeeze two or three drops under your tongue twice a day so that it's absorbed directly into your blood stream rather than being digested. Just be prepared for a strong taste of pizza.

There are lab studies showing it kills bacteria, viruses, and parasites. In short, it's literally "good for what ails you," whatever it is. This stuff has been around for thousands of years (it's called "hyssop" in the Bible), so there's no big profit for anybody in trying to push it but it does work.

Get well so you can chop some wood.
