Zeev contends China will be pragmatic regards Taiwan and they have a 30 year plan to get the absorption of Taiwan completed.
I have an entirely different read.
I feel China is getting ever closer to pushing the matter of Taiwan to the the front of table.
Imo, i feel Zeev underestimates this is a huge issue with China.
How huge?????
The Beijing Olympics in 2008 is a crowning event for China, a matter that one would believe they would never endanger its' taking place due to a world crisis.
But China itself, in an official government release for global reading months ago stated: "we consider the matter of Taiwan of such importance that we are ready to LOSE our 2008 Olympics"
These are not even remotely the words of a China that has a patient pragmatic 30 year plan to absorb Taiwan.
