How Can Daddy Support a Nazi?

I was asked the question about blacks supporting a neo-nazi in the waning days of the campaign by a very proud young Black woman who is attending a very excellent school in America. I explained that there were several reasons why Black voters could support a white neo-nazi. The first is they can not accept that anybody would actually promote forced labor and that the www.meetwarren.org .. http://go2.wordpress.com/?id=725X1342&site=faqwarren.wordpress.com&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.meetwarren.org%2F .. website is just another dirty campaign trick.

Support for this position is that not a single politician, not even his opponent, criticized his ideas. There were no condemnations from the NAACP or the ACLU, Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton. There was no coverage in the national press or from any news media. How bad can his ideas really be if no one cares? Locally, not a single candidate condemned his neo-nazi beliefs and nobody disputed his claim of support by the Black Caucus. Most of the people who condemned Warren Mosler’s ideas were white and not a single Black Community Activist criticized his concept of job creation.

The other possibility is that there is a growing group of self-made and very conservative black leaders and Bill Cosby comes to mind. As I pointed out to the young lady her father is a self made millionaire with a nice house and a growing business. It would probably grow even faster if he could find more reliable employees. Why not get everyone in the projects to work or evict them? Hell, he’s worked all his life and never got stamps, housing, or the public dole so why shouldn’t everyone else work? I’ve heard the same argument from the black middle class that came out of the ghetto and joined the military, became police or went to work for the government.

The only thing I have not heard is a good answer to the question “Or what?” Nobody should agree with an army of unemployed wandering around and begging like they do in third world countries and nobody should propose a camp for those that don’t work. If the camp is better than the worse project then no one would work. If it is worse then our worse project and you build it on purpose, you deserve the title Nazi. Even the current Clinton concepts of kicking young mothers off the welfare roles hasn’t done much more than lower the cost of sexual favors from a woman in need of a few dollars.

It should be obvious to everyone that it’s easier to be a neo-nazi than to come up with real creative solutions to our poverty problems and anybody that comes up with a “new final solution” to poverty should be closely examined by all.

AN EXTRAORDINARILY RICH FANTASY LIFE

I have watched and listened to Candidate Mosler for over a month now and one thing stands clearly out in my mind. The man has an Extraordinarily Rich Fantasy Life. He must. Here are some of his recent claims:

He meets regularly with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve; the people who make monetary policy for the United States. How nice.

He met with Andrew Card; Chief of Staff to the President of the United States to advise him on national economic policy. According to Mr. Mosler, the policy prescriptions which he provided to the President thorough Mr Card are working, although Mr Mosler has received no credit for saving the nation’s economy.

Mr. Mosler created the employment policy which he claims was enacted by the government of Argentina which he claims completely eliminated unemployment in Argentina. The tens of thousands of starving residents of the barrios surrounding Buenos Aries will be delighted, I am sure, to learn of their great prosperity.

Mr. Mosler claims that the same program which saved Argentina is now being implemented in India and will soon be deployed in Iraq. My hero! But, what are the names of the people he spoke to in India, Argentina and Iraq while he was diligently bailing out their once failing but now burgeoning economies. That is Mr. Mosler’s secret.

All this is a prelude to Mr. Mosler’s solution to the crime and unemployment problems in our own United States Virgin Islands. According to Mr Mosler he has spoken to unnamed members of the Virgin Islands Government and has been told that the cost of providing employment at Public Works to every unemployed person on any of the Virgin Islands between 17 and 23 willing to work at $12.00 per hour would be about $3,000,000.00. It is disgraceful say’s Mosler that the Government cannot come up with a measly $3,000,000.00 to end unemployment in the VI..

Again, Mosler declines to name the name of any person whom he purportedly spoke to. My guess is that the person who gave him that information, like the person to whom he provided his Argentina plan and his India plan and his Iraq plan are FIGMENTS OF HIS EXTRAORDINARILY RICH IMAGINATION.

The $3,000,000.00 solution to Virgin Islands crime and unemployment is most audacious for its implicitly stupid mathematics. It appears that our erstwhile candidate for Delegate to Congress and self proclaimed economic world leader believes that there are a total of 125 -150 unemployed persons between the ages of 17 and 23 in all of the Virgin Islands. Do the math:

$12.00/ hour times 40 hours times 50 weeks equals $24000.00 for each job if no benefits
are provided $3,000,000.00 divided by $24,000.00 equals 125 jobs for all three islands.

From his vantage point at his home in West Palm Beach Florida, Mr Mosler must guess that there are
about 55 unemployed 17 to 23 year olds on St Thomas and St Croix and 15 on St John.

It sure is great to have a great mathematician and economist willing to serve as
our Delegate to Congress to bad he was too late to benefit from Leave no Child Behind.
