Newbie here

Hi everyone! I'd just like to introduce myself as a newcomer here. I'm Kristine and I'm in my mid-20s. I've been dreaming for years now to make money by investing/trading and have been playing with some money since June 2006. Only since July of 2009 did I put in a large amount of money into my Scottrade and get into biopharm/tech and then into .. *drum roll please* .. penny stocks. :|

Boy, could I say I made a mistake by playing the momo penny stocks. I was already at a $7k loss due to the biopharm/tech stocks that I played and didn't know much about... but after I started playing the momo stocks, well, I lost another $5k... so I'm down $12k which is a large % of my portfolio. And please, let me further explain that this is my own money.. I have not profited one bit since I have *tried* to invest/make money.

I am absolutely hopeless and would really appreciate it if you all welcomed me to your group and gave me some guidance on how to play this game. I'm completely mortified at the mess I have gotten myself into within a 6 month time frame and I feel this should not be my reality, nor anyone else's.

I came to find this because I had heard of other investors/traders mentioning IHUB. I was further led to Monk's Den because I was clicking around on the Top Forums section. Reading the testimonials from two of the fellow Den Dweller's (LoneGrey and ShootinBlanks) gave me some sign of hope. A little hope is all I need... because right now I am desperate for any inkling of it. I hope one day soon that I will be writing one of these testimonials.

I don't know where to go or what to do.. but I know that I can get myself out of this mess. I know that it will just take some time and that I am (hopefully) not the only novice who has experienced this.

I hope to exchange more positive words with Monk and any other kind Den Dwellers in the future. Until then...
