Don't know where your driving takes place... fortunately that has not been my experience in the Garden State known for universal rudeness... may be because all of us weary commuters truly appreciate courtesy... have found that when I need to blend into the single lane from the right in brutally backed up conditions, that if I stop behind the four or so previous vehicles with my turn signal on... I can merge with no problems.

Have also noticed a wonderful tendency of commuters to use the alternate feed concept even when the person who wants to merge has the stop sign at the intersection...

Biggest problems around here seem to emanate from cell phone users and those in SUVs who lack the skills to keep their vehicles in their own lane...

Put them together with a cell phone... I feel an overwhelming urge to hijack a fully loaded garbage truck filled with concrete construction waste and start heading into traffic... wish those jerks would mis-steer in the direction of a telephone pole... preferably sans seatbelt...

One can only dream...
