So, to parry the mkt share threat from AMD is Intel girding it's loins and preparing it's treasury for a price war to kill off AMD? I think not:

1. Intel is still pissing away vast amounts of R&D, money, and other resources to pump up Itanic - lost cause (per Bill Gates).

2. Intel doubled the dividend last qtr.

3. Intel buying more of its own shares to protect mgt options.

Otellini, marketing guy, cannot provide technical leadership, cannot address Intel's real problems....
