Just something to keep in mind when it comes to advisors....
Having them in an administration is not the same as giving power to those advisors, or even necessarily being forced to follow their advice. Obama should have both experts as well as contrarians to give him both sides of an issue. Of course, we aren't likely to support the advice from insiders to the banking industry, but don't you think Obama should know what they are saying before he makes his decisions? Why do you assume that because Obama invites these people for advice, that he is actually implementing their advice over his own sound judgment?
To me, the wisest ruler is the one who hears both sides of an argument before making a judgment or decision. Obama can't exclude the banking industry when it comes to banking reform. It doesn't mean he has to appease these people, but he should hear from their side, just so that he is equipped with the full extent of knowledge before making his decisions.
Wouldn't you agree?
