I don't question Palin's sincerity. Of course, she wants what's best for America. The problem is that she doesn't understand what it means to run a country, and even needs a crib sheet in order to remember simple talking points.

That's the whole problem with the Tea Party in general. They haven't said anything substantive about what policies they'd want to challenge, or what they'd do differently. The real naivity is that they put their faith into one-liners like the one you linked to above, without having a shred of a clue about what it takes to back those statements up.

The corporate funded astro-turfing-in-the-name-of-grass-roots movement has an entire population of people demanding a better government, when the government they have is already working for them, and the one they want to replace it with is exactly the one who is funded by those working against their best interests.

It's the irony of current politics, and it's sad. But the propaganda engine is so powerful that it has people coming out in mobs to overturn a Democratic government to replace it with a Plutocracy. It's driven by fear, ignorance, and money - a powerful combination.
