Dean left himself an out by saying he

"has been assured by their funding source that the entire $350,000,000 (350 million USD) will be closed and settled no later than December 15, 2009".

So all Dean has to do is blame it on bad info from the funding source. The sad fact is it has been almost 2 months and Dean hasn't said another word about it. He just leaves us guessing what is really going on.
