Well, there you are getting into growing subsidies, as they will just say yes to all labor demands if they know the govt will make up the difference. We would need to tread carefully with that becuase we need to be getting rid o subsidies not growing them if we ever hope to get out of debt.

For starters, using Obama's pledge to stop these companies from getting tax breaks if they move their operations offshore could be enough to make many companies think twice before doing so.
