My sentiments exactly. Repukes howl endlessly about ACORN's miniscule Federal funding. ACORN volunteers rebuilt almost 2000 homes in NOLA after Katrina. Bush gave many millions of Fed bucks to groups like Operation Blessing who wouldn't give me one lousy bottle of drinking water unless I waited for and listened to a sermon.

If you do donate to Haitian relief, be very careful who gets your bucks. I gave to Doctors Without Borders and International Fund for Animal Welfare. There are a lot of excellent charities (even some religious ones) but there are also lots that will take your money and give most of it to themselves.
