SUMMARY OF IMPRESSIONS FROM "LOOKING BACK" (above)

11/16 Ooooo, that's nice. We have a nice orderly retreat
on slightly lower volume. Our Confidence Index is headed
down and is still blaring an ALERT. That doesn't mean
panic. It's just trying to say we've had a very nice
run and should expect some consolidation. The dollar
index didn't do much but XGLD was up over two and a half
dollars. XOI fell a little to below 700.

11/15 Our Confidence Index rose and gave another ALERT!
The dollar index stiffened its back and raised its
head a trifle. XGLD was steady and XOI gave back all
of Friday's heady gain and a touch more.

11/12 The indices had an excellent day on higher volume.
Our Confidence index popped right back up, and lit its
ALERT, too. The dollar index gave up all of its recent
gains. XGLD was strong, XOI was even stronger.

11/11 Our Optimism Index stopped its fall, at least for
the moment. TRINQ settled down. The indices acted
quite bullish on a day with a little lower volume.
The dollar index was just about steady. XGLD didn't
do much and XOI was steady, too.

11/10 Our Optimism Index is trending down. TRINQ
continued its runup. The bond index is trending
down but the dollar index moved up a little bit.
McClellan hasn't recognized the consolidation phase
yet. It's always a little slow to react. XGLD
fell a little and XOI recovered yesterday's loss.

11/09 I don't know if it means anything but TRINQ was
a little rambunctious today while TRIN/VXN/VXO were
steady. And, for what it's worth, McClellan is still
running up, though at a slightly slower pace. The
dollar index was up a trifle. XGLD moved up quite
a bit, and XOI fell again.
