SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) on Tuesday reported a fourth-quarter net profit of $1.09 billion, or 37 cents a share. Excluding charges, H-P earned $1.23 billion, or 41 cents a share, on revenue of $21.4 billion, to beat the estimates of analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call, who forecast a profit of 37 cents a share on $21.1 billion in revneue. Going forward, H-P estimates it will earn between 72 cents and 74 cents a share on revenue of $41.8 billion to $42.3 billion for the first half of its 2005 fiscal year.
