Actually, it may. It definitely produces LESS HEAT than a standard bulb - which may make the room feel cooler by being "less hot."

This would be particularly noticeable if you have multiple lights or if the room was small.

I think what you are feeling is probably real, and not just an emotional feeling from owning the stock.
