Anybody still following this one? I just did a bunch of DD and it seems there is pretty nice potential here. There are a handful of chemical manufacturing companies that deal with industrial coating pigments, but very few, if any, deal specifically with the application of these coatings..
PPG Industries, Inc., RPM International Inc., Cytec Industries Inc., KMG Chemicals, Inc, and the Nanophase Technologies Corporation are the 5 companies I was able to identify that deal with industrial coatings. However, these companies (to the best of my knowledge) do not produce systems that apply the coatings.
By diversifying their sales program to include makers of solar cells and medical devices SOTK is very much on the right track to profit from two industries that only have room to grow (solar technology & medical equipment). With near 8 million in revenues last year, there is definite money coming in.
I just wish there was more attention being paid to this, low volume stocks make me a tad bit nervous, but I may pull the trigger on this one.
