9:34 AM Amazon.com (AMZN) opens up Kindle to developers, saying it has already released the Kindle Development Kit to select partners (including Electronic Arts (ERTS)), and will make it more widely available next month. Amazon anticipates formally adding "active content" to the Kindle store later this year. (PR)
