Regardless of what side of the fence you are on, you have to wonder why this "bugus" check news did not reverberate into the trade volume or trade price today. It had seemingly no affect whatsoever on todays trading yet the news was in two papers and all over the internet. What does that tell you?
Nobody in their right mind can defend the companies actions regarding bad payment of advertising funds. The only defense possible is that the story was not quoted correctly and even I doubt that is the case.
Assuming that the tabloids are correct (likely), and this money has been withheld, WHY ALL THE BUYING????
The selling makes complete sense. What does not make sense is the amount of the share price. Yes the VWAP is down a bit but nothing earth-shattering.
The story to be read here is one of a few possibilities:
A) A "covering" campaign is going on within a controlled environment (This one will not be popular with the majority of tonites posters)
B) The company is slowly being bought up by pike capitol, and for a minimum share price for some odd reason
C) A combination of both.
Whatever is going on smells REAL bad and seems impossible to be in the best interest of the retail shareholder.
While a reward may be possible for the strong apples... it certainly is not good business and it would take one hell of a PR to explain how any of this can be good for long shareholders. At this point long shareholders are expected to have "faith" as if this is an afterlife quest.
I take off my hat to those of you who have held strong through all of this - you know who your are - and I AM ONE OF YOU!
I plan on seeing this through but not nearly as optimistically as I once was. I am 99% sure that this company is battling a NSS attack and I am just as sure that its not over (todays buying without a massive change in SP being strong evidence).
Unfortunately the management is looking dirtier by the Day and the lack of communication is my problem with this company despite the NSS problem that seems to linger on.
Although this post is of the negative type, I would like to make one thing clear - I have not been and will not be swayed by the negative posters on this board. The relentless negative writings of many have been the very reason I have not sold, and still refuse to sell my investment with this company. The reality, however, looks grim and needs some clearing up.
Good luck to the many who have stayed the course. Hopefully, this is not a "life altering" amount of money risked in this and with any luck these guys do have a reason for being so quiet and the .50+ per share will become a reality
