With the co-defendants being tried separately the intended guilty plea of co-defendant D'Amaro will likely lead to an offer of a favorable pre-disposition recommendation by the Prosecutor if D'Amaro provides witness material against the other co-defendants . Remorse and co-operation can dramatically reduce the Court's sentencing disposition .

Whether or not D'Amaro provides such witness material to the Prosecutor the real or imagined fear of D'Amaro possibly testifying against any of the other co-defendants may incline one or more of the other co-defendants to also change their pleas or at least their defence strategies .
