sara I'm reading this book,

Jon Najarian formed Mecury Trading, the second most active marketmaker on CBOE. He says "Of course a woman faces greater barriers; on our floor only 2 per cent are women. On most US trading floors there are very few women and so I am sure women have a bigger barrier." I though I know why, all the men have B.O and eat garlic and onions. lol I flip over a few pages and he says,

"Floor traders need to be competitive because they are spending hours daily among a group of mainly men, most of whom smell, elbow each other, stand on each other's feet, swear and intimidate. It is their job to bid or offer for virtually every trade. It would be easy to become dispirited. lol

I've lurked on some message boards that kind of mimic this, in its own way. LOL
