Sure, mthead.....the quadrants.... Remember when we used to plot points on a graph in geometry? Well, that's what the quadrants I, II, III, and IV are based on. The first score in the test is for Economic Left/Right so the X-axis is used to find that on the scale, and the second score is for Social Libertarian/Authoritarian which is found using the Y-axis. If your first score was a positive number (+) then you'd be going that number of segments to the right, a negative number (-) to the left. Then with the second score, you count up or down depending on whether or not it is a positive or negative number (up for +, down for "-"). [see quadrants below]. And there is no right or wrong answer. The graph just gives you an indication of where you stand compared to others.
Thanks Woofer. Could you give me a brief explanation of your table. What do the quadrant numbers (1,2,3&4) mean? I can see that you put me in the 3rd quadrant (liberal/libertarian) but I can't tell which quadrants 1,2&4 are. A pm will be fine if you don't want to clutter up the board. Thanks.
