Is SNDK dead money going into the Jan./Feb. turnip high?

Also, MSFT is paying a hefty $3 dividend in DEC. to holders as of Nov. 17th I believe.
What is the downside of purchasing the stock and unloading it after Nov.17th, to take advantage of the one-time payout?

(Of course the stock could drop by more than 10% til then... but anything else I'm missing)
