woofer -- he resonates strongly with me as well -- sharp guy
Yes, and it would seem that Aronowitz and Paulo Freire are on the same wavelength....but geeez, Henry A. Giroux sure is long-winded. LOL

I would submit that experience has shown that it is very difficult at best to launch a new party capable of competing effectively at a national level, and that failed attempts to do so apparently inevitably end up aiding the major party less acceptable to those who supported the given failed attempt -- and that, accordingly, the better option is to increase control/take over the more acceptable major party -- which is a strategy which has worked as recently as the radical right's increasing control/taking over the Republican party

I knew the futility of my wish as I typed that up but liked the idea anyway. Yes, I agree with you. Now here's where I really depart from the majority of the board though. I don't want another Obama, who to my way of thinking is just like all the other people that manage to make it to the Democrat Presidential candidate debates. I'm sick of them and I'll say it. Geeeez, if only Kucinich wasn't so meek and...well...yucky (I love his politics). Why can't there ever be a Democrat that's dynamic, forceful, intelligent, honest, likable, and Progressive...all in one body?

I consider it a fact that we are better off with Obama and Biden than we would have been with McCain

Did I ever say otherwise? McCain is a nutcase.
One of your links is filled with anti-Palin stuff. If you haven't noticed, I have rarely mentioned Palin and mainly because she's not worth mentioning.

I see that the developers of the Political Compass test agree with me (re: Obama) in your posted jpgs, so on that note, I'll put the old results here from those of us who took it- A blast from the past......
