Safe from a major economic collapse? Safe from major job losses? Did he make the small community banks safer? Safe from enacting the 9/11 Commissions recommendations on sharing intelligence between various Govenment Security agencies( or was it safe from hearing his explanations to the 9/11 Committee on why he ignored the August memos?) Safe from Credit Card Company abuse? Or did he keep the balanced budget, and projected 10 year surplus he inherited safe? Did he keep the stock market safe from an extraordinary amount of unregulated abuse? Did he keep LAX safe from a terrorist attack? Did he keep us safe from the Shoebomber? Did Bush keep the Iraqi Jewish and Christian population safe from having their homes taken over by Shiites and Sunnis, as well as keeping their children(the ones that survived) safe? Did Bush keep us safe from an understaffed and overworked FAA? Did he leave office with a safe Afghanistan? Did he keep us safe from North Korea selling nuclear secrets with other countries that worry us? Did he keep our trade imbalance safe? Did he keep workers in small companies safe from losing everything when their insurance companies refuse to pay the hospital bills, or from dropping coverage on them, or tripling their rates annually when we need to use our health insurance most? Did he keep us safe with those color coded charts from minature drones equipped with biological agents, and from other WMDs in Iraq? Or did Bush keep the soldiers that lacked body armor when fighting his illegal war safe? Did he keep us safe by building and improving safety in bridges and our nation's infrastructure? Did Bush keep us safer by stopping the flow of American-made assault weapons being funneled to Mexican Narco terrorists that threaten our border cities and citizens? Did he keep our U.S.Embassy safe in Yemen? How about the Pentagon? The World Trade Center? The passengers on those planes that horrible day in history?
And you get bent out of shape because President Obama took resposibility for an unsuccessfull attempt by a bumbling terrorist? The same attack that was planned by Yemenis that Bush/Cheney released from Guantamano....Maybe Bush kept us safe by encouraging us to eat Freedom Fries, instead of french fries, and alienating us from our allies around the world,which left the Afghani/Pakistani terorist threat almost solely as American's burden today?
