For some people (like my father), antagonizing the angiotensin pathway (ACEi, ARB) doesn't work. For those people, beta-blockers aren't a bad option because they reduce cardiac output.
Thanks for chiming in. For people who don’t benefit from the ACE/ARB classes and are looking to combat hypertension only, I would think Tekturna might be a better option than a beta blocker. However, many docs still aren’t familiar with Tekturna.
