Most companies do not treat common shareholders well even when they are in full vigor. They use them for their own financing needs. The concept of 'investing' into a company that will work towards the universal goals of success for all is dead among leadership.

It's no surprise that in BK, WMI does not want to take care of shareholders. Which is weird as I am sure there are many who had common shares, and knew people who lost a boatload here. And again Weil ultimately cares about one entity: Weil.
