Hi Newly: I have the greatest repect for you but I must disagree with your SS post. I'm an "old people"...well really not that old, I can still play ball. If I recall, and I wasn't there, after the '20 crash and the subsequent devestating depression FDR and his administration set up SS, that all folks would never experience what was an awful situation. It made sense; you pay a small part of you salary over your working life and come retirement, you get back what you've paid in. Kinda forced-savings. Many people survive on SS. Things have changed a lot in the past 70 years; government places the SS money paid in into the General Fund. It is not set aside, as it should have been and of course government spent the money.
