SUMMARY OF IMPRESSIONS FROM "LOOKING BACK" (above)

11/05 TRIN/TRINQ/VXN/VXO have all gone to bullish levels
and Our Confidence Index improved and is showing ALERTs.
The p/c ratio fell lower than it has been recently and
the indices are booming. Even so, several of our
indicators ticked down. It may be time to digest some
of the recent gains. The bond index fell sharply (and
so did TLT). The dollar index was down over half-a-
dollar. XLGD was up and so was XOI.

11/04 Our Optimism Index roared today and flashed an
ALERT which suggests a hint of excessive bullishness.
The indices are trying to make up for lost time.
NYSE boomed again and DJIA and S&P500 were very
strong. The Dollar index edged down a little bit.
XGLD closed at $430, it's highest close this year
and XOI had a strong day, too.

11/03 The dollar index fell and closed below $85, XGLD
was strong, and XOI was stronger. Which of those are
a reaction to political events? My guess is the dollar
index and XGLD.

11/02 Our Optimism Index is still positive but turned
down a little today. The dollar index was flat, XGLD
fell over $4.00, and XOI fell about $6.00

11/01 The dollar slept along with the markets, but
XGLD was up a little and XOI fell a bit.

10/29 Volume contracted and our numbers didn't change a
lot. Some were up and some were down. What strength
there was was on the NYSE. Even though the market
seems to have an undercurrent of bullishness (our
Optimism Index is nicely bullish), it looks to me
like most folks are just hanging around waiting to
see what happens next Tuesday. Part of that thinking
comes from the way TRINQ/VXN/VXO are creeping up and
the fact that the bond index has popped back up. The
dollar index and XGLD were both unchanged, and XOI
recovered about 2/3rds of yesterday's loss.
