Don't know about the mega gains, though it would be nice. I take money out of my brokerage account almost every month. Retired from my job this summer and trade full time now. Hard to get the gains to multiply when I keep taking profits out. Nice to have the ability to do it and still preserve capital.

Oh, and I was watching CREE, just never got in. Thousands of stocks out there. Always be another.
