Our country and economy is based on a consumption economy at the expense of others (ex: energy). In the long run that was unsustainable and our living standards either will drop (for some it has substantially) or stagnate. Other countries standards will rise (India and China).

We don't replace any workers - we install our software that saves them money or offers them additional capabilities and then just support them. In fact more Americans get hired because we save our companies money so they can hire more.
