KQ, Many others have said "let's do it" before, remember? Where are they all? That's my only point.

I'm not crying "fraud", per se. But, sloppiness, or over-zealous PR strategy which management apparently does not learn from with every dumb mistake, lack of attention or verification of facts and details, etc. And it seems to go on and on, with no lessons learned. Who the heck would issue the Fairbanks PR without verifying with the customer? This company already had credibility problems, IMO, which means being more accurate and careful, not less. And the CEO sits silently behind the curtain all the while? If you think he was unaware, then maybe he needs a new VP who is more on the ball?

My hopes weren't as out of whack as you say, though. You're partly right, but my logical expecation is they learn from their mistakes and increase their competency as time goes on. I don't see that happening, do you? That's what I question, and I don't believe anyone could be so constantly careless with PRs. I think it's something else, or at least partially. They play a solid company on TV, but they don't seem to understand how to handle things in order to take off their training-pants. Therefore, logic IMO says that they will do the same thing with my money (i.e. careless or sloppy = waste it).

It does NOT take a genius to refrain from PRing a load of hooey. It really doesn't.
