Of course they do. But, either way INI is THE final word and the onus is on them. There's no "playing dumb" in a scenario like this. You don't accept every tom, dick and harry as a distributor and then issue PRs blindly at their word because as we've all seen there are various views on how soon is too soon to assume a project is valid or a sure thing.
So, it's like I said, IMO either incompetence in not knowing any better or collaborated on misleading PRs. Either way, that's very poor handling of a company. And either way, it's up to INI to correct, retract, or otherwise account for misleading press when they are made aware of it. Do you really think this could have gone on w/out the company knowing? C'mon. The Fairbanks lawyer responded to a shareholder yesterday, but never told the company? I don't buy that for a second.
The distributor is irrelevant. They could have done it on purpose to sell their stock into the hype, or made a dumb mistake, or who knows. And who cares. The distributor isn't in charge of what the company issues or fails to correct.
