I hope that is what it was. I'm seeking peace also.

But I can only go so far because...........

Give you a bit of an example of part of my diverse back ground.

I remember when I was younger on an Elder board. First of all it was myself and about 3 others who were asked to come join these other men. My favorite Pastor who had such a huge influence on my life even through the pains it brings back great memories.

We did a study. A very detailed study. Not only did we have this young Pastor full of Wisdom we had his Dad there a sort of retired but not retired from pastoring Pastor at the time helping out at different churches.

Anyways we did a detailed study on what it means to be an Elder, a Pastor.

The responsibilities involved as well as the CONSEQUENCES!

His Dad I wish I could remember his words cause they made so much more sense then mine said everyone should be a Pastor.
There is a difference between Pastoring and a teaching Pastor in charge of a flock.

Like I said I wish I could recall his wisdom. He explained it so good.

Anyways, this detailed study went on for months before I was accepted to become an elder. During it I thought of myself as being unworthy to be an Elder. The pastor and others set me straight on that recognizing the fact we can't be all of the qualities the scripture states.

But we do have a responsibility to strive to become those qualities. To do our best.

What I learned from that study is no matter if we are an Elder or just someone attending church, anyone that is a Christian we have a HUGE responsibility being a steward of anything that has to do with God.

From a website ministry, a church, a message board, to ones daily life living for Christ going to the grocery store it matters not.

I self analyze my decisions here on this board to the extreme.

No matter what in life I do.......... it is I, no one else that in the end will have to answer to God for what goes on here.

We are all responsible for our actions.

I can let it become like other boards or I can do what I believe the Holy Spirit wants and that is the truth of his word no matter how much the world would prefer the word of God is adapted to the worlds ways.
