Phil- Deep fried turkey gets a little greasy,

like chicken really, but worth a try (avoid the skin).

For a real treat, try deep frying fresh spinach, absolutely wild how it turns out :)

http://recipes.kaboose.com/deep-fried-spinach.html

Vibrant fresh spinach, deep-fried in peanut oil and delicately seasoned, serves up crispy and golden, tempting kids to eat enough spinach to make Popeye proud.
Ingredients

* 4 cups peanut oil for frying
* 1 (10 ounce) package washed fresh spinach
* salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

1. Heat oil in deep-fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. Place a large handful of fresh spinach in fryer basket, and submerge to cook for about thirty seconds.
3. Drain spinach on paper towels, and repeat with remaining batches. Add a little salt and pepper to taste.

I was going to try frying a whole chicken on the grill, but never got around to it.

You should see when I ignite the aft port :)
