One way I am protecting myself is with June, 2005 and 2006 GOLD CALLS. They give me some mental freedom to take a small number of large positions for the short or long term and still feel comfortable in my own head.

Last Friday, I sold my last stock position (a large chunk of LSCP at 27.50) which means I now own no stocks (or bonds for that matter). This is because I think Kerry will win, or we will have a disputed election while I believe the equity markets have discounted a Bush win since late July.

If I am wrong, I will get back in quickly.
